About Torrance

Home to the beautiful Torrance Beach, the City of Torrance consists of about 20 neighborhoods, with the most highly sought-after neighborhoods being Southeast Torrance, Olde Torrance, and Northwest Torrance.

• The City was founded in 1912 by Jared Torrance. Their intention was to create an industrial city center with residential in the surrounding areas for the workers.
